These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of pepsource.co.uk (the "Site") and any purchase you make from PEP SOURCE ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility & research-use restriction

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Site or place an order. All products sold are research reagents intended strictly for laboratory and in-vitro research use by qualified researchers or institutions. They are not drugs, cosmetics, food, or medical devices, are not intended for human or veterinary consumption or application, and we provide no dosing, administration, or physiological application guidance of any kind. By purchasing, you confirm you are a qualified researcher or institution acquiring products solely for permitted research use, and that you are responsible for complying with all laws applicable to your use, storage, and handling of these products in your jurisdiction.

2. Orders, made-to-order items & pre-orders

Placing an order is an offer to purchase, which we may accept or decline (for example, for suspected fraud or an inventory error). Some products are made to order (see our Refund policy and Shipping policy for made-to-order dispatch timing and the non-refundable terms that apply to them) and some products are available for pre-order, dispatched within 28 days under the guarantee described in our Refund policy. Those policies form part of these Terms.

3. Pricing & availability

Prices are shown in GBP and may change at any time without notice; the price charged is the price shown at checkout. We make reasonable efforts to describe products and stock levels accurately but do not guarantee availability, and may limit order quantities.

4. Accounts

Our customer accounts use passwordless (email-code) sign-in. You are responsible for keeping access to your registered email secure, and for all activity under your account.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Site for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site or its systems; scrape or harvest data beyond ordinary browsing and the agent-access methods we publish; or misrepresent your identity or eligibility to purchase.

6. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — text, graphics, logos, and product imagery — belongs to PEP SOURCE or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and products are provided "as is". Except for the statutory rights described in our Refund policy (which are not affected by this clause), we make no warranty that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that products are fit for any purpose beyond the laboratory research use stated on the product page.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site or products, including any use inconsistent with the research-use restriction in section 1. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of any product outside its stated research-use purpose.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in your local courts.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
