Calculator FAQs
What does "units" mean on the syringe?
Insulin syringes are marked in units. On a standard U-100 syringe, 100 units equal 1 ml — so 10 units equal 0.1 ml. The calculator converts your draw volume into these units automatically.
Does adding more water change the strength of the vial?
No. The total amount of peptide in the vial stays the same — more water simply means a lower concentration per ml, so you pull the syringe further for the same amount of material.
Which syringe size should I choose?
Pick the syringe you actually intend to use in the lab. If your calculated draw exceeds the syringe capacity, the calculator will warn you — reduce the water volume or use a larger syringe.
