Overview

This product is supplied as a kit, not as a pre-filled cartridge. Everything needed to prepare a pen cartridge is included — the powder is shipped sealed and lyophilised, and is reconstituted by you at the point of use rather than by us before dispatch.

A reconstituted cartridge is a liquid preparation with a limited stable life, and transit conditions cannot be controlled. Supplying the compound dry removes that variable entirely: the material arrives in the state it was tested in, and the clock only starts when you mix it. Available in 10mg.

Research Focus

SS-31, also known as elamipretide, is a mitochondria-targeting tetrapeptide that binds cardiolipin, a phospholipid unique to the inner mitochondrial membrane. Published work has examined its influence on cristae structure and electron transport chain efficiency, cardiac and renal ischaemia-reperfusion injury, and it has been carried into human trials by Stealth BioTherapeutics for Barth syndrome and primary mitochondrial myopathy.

Returns

Kits are assembled to order. An unopened kit with all seals intact can be returned within 14 days — but once the vial, water or needle seal has been broken it cannot be accepted back on hygiene grounds, and anything already reconstituted cannot be returned.
