Overview
Selank nasal spray, prepared as a metered intranasal solution for laboratory research. Available in 10mg and 20mg high strength, both in a 10ml bottle.

Strength and concentration
Both strengths are supplied in the same 10ml metered bottle. The difference is concentration, not volume:
- 10mg / 10ml — 1mg per ml (standard strength)
- 20mg / 10ml — 2mg per ml (high strength, double the concentration)
The 20mg bottle is prepared from twice the source peptide in the same volume of solution, so each metered actuation delivers twice the peptide of the 10mg preparation. Bottle size, actuation volume and number of sprays per bottle are identical between the two.

Why the intranasal format
Selank is one of the peptides where the route of administration is central to the research rather than incidental. Intranasal delivery gives direct nose-to-brain transport along the olfactory and trigeminal nerve pathways, which partially bypasses the blood-brain barrier and avoids the first-pass metabolism that breaks down small peptides taken orally. Research indicates this achieves meaningfully higher central nervous system exposure than other routes.
This is why Selank was developed as an intranasal formulation, and why the majority of the published clinical literature on it uses the intranasal route.
Research Focus
Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of tuftsin, developed in Russia and also known as TP-7. It is studied chiefly as an anxiolytic, and what distinguishes it in the literature is that research reports anxiolytic activity without the sedation, cognitive dulling or dependence associated with benzodiazepines. Published work has examined its influence on GABAergic signalling, expression of BDNF, inhibition of enkephalin degradation, and attention and memory under stress conditions.
Research on Selank includes both human clinical studies, largely published in Russian-language journals, and animal models.
